Business Website Prototyping
For this project my task was to create a prototype for a client of their business's new website. As part of the project I created a business plan including an outline of the website's benefits for the client, an explanation of how Search Engine Optimization (SEO) would be implemented, a wireframe and a sitemap. The client was a woodworking retailer and learning center. The new site would allow customers to purchase items as well as view offered courses and register for those courses.
For this project I taught myself how to use Axure, a widely used application for prototyping. I was able to create functioning pages through this program that could be easily viewed by the client for feedback.
This is the prototype of the homepage. This page would be used to view basic information about courses and new products. From here, users would be linked to pages with more in depth information.
This is the prototype of a product page. This page would be used to view descriptions and other information about products offered. From this page users could also add items to and access their shopping cart.
This is the prototype for the courses main page. This page would allow users to view the courses that would be offered select course they wish to enroll in.
This is my finished sitemap. The sitemap helped me create the prototype because it gave a visual representation of how each page would be connected.
